When caring for a client with tuberculosis please explain the additional precautions you would need to take and why?

TB can be transmitted through cough, sneeze, speak, sing, or spit, they expel infectious aerosol droplets. Therefore, you have to use mask.

Additional precautions would be to isolate patient and wear PPE including mask, goggles, gloves and gown. Tuberculosis is an airborne virus.
